Q + A

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held on the beach—please come prepared with suitable footwear and sunscreen!

What is the dress code for the day of the wedding?

Beach Semi-Formal! Men should wear a collared shirt and pants; suits or blazers are optional but welcome. Women can choose from cocktail dresses, maxi dresses, sundresses, semi-formal jumpsuits, etc. Please consider the beach setting when selecting your footwear!

Are children allowed at the resort/venue?

El Dorado Casitas Royale is an adult-only resort, offering you the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. While we’re excited for some peaceful time together, we’ll still be eagerly requesting lots of pictures of your adorable little ones!

Will there be Wi-Fi at the resort?

While the resort offers Wi-Fi, service may be limited or weaker in certain areas. If you plan to use your phone outside of the resort or in areas where Wi-Fi may not be strong, we recommend checking with your mobile provider about international data plans to avoid unexpected roaming charges.

What is the dress code at the resort?

As you enjoy your stay at El Dorado Royale, please note that the resort has a dress code that we must adhere to. They recommend "Resort Casual" during the day and "Smart Casual" attire for the evenings. Resort Casual: Perfect for daytime relaxation and informal gatherings, this style is polished yet laid-back. Men can wear polo shirts, lightweight button-down shirts, khaki or linen shorts, and loafers or dress sandals. Women can opt for sundresses, skirts, casual blouses, capri pants, or dressy shorts with stylish sandals or flats. Please remember to cover swimwear when outside the pool or beach areas. Smart Casual: Ideal for evening events, welcome dinners, and pre-wedding celebrations, this refined yet relaxed style ensures you look polished without being overly formal. Men should wear collared shirts, dress pants or tailored shorts, and closed-toe shoes or dress sandals. Women can choose elegant dresses, skirts, blouses, or stylish jumpsuits, paired with dressy sandals or low heels. We kindly ask that overly casual items such as flip-flops, athletic wear, and ripped clothing be avoided. Thank you for dressing in accordance with the resort’s guidelines and helping create a beautiful atmosphere for this special occasion.

Do I need to bring cash?

While the resort is all-inclusive, tipping is appreciated for excellent service. Bringing small bills ($1, $5, $10) in U.S. dollars or pesos is recommended for housekeeping, bartenders, and other resort staff. If you plan to explore outside the resort, be sure to notify your bank or credit card company in advance to avoid any issues with transactions. While most places accept major credit cards, it’s always helpful to have some cash on hand for small purchases or vendors that may not accept cards.
